Oak Lodge Residential Service provides pre-eminent educational and activity programmes to children and young people.

 

The residential centre has a team of quallified and experienced staff who work with young people. The residential centre has a team of qualified and experienced staff who work with young people to address their educational and personal development needs.

 

Outdoor Education include adventure sports, ecology and environmental studies with the aim of contributing to the young person's physical, social and personal development; ensuring that young people become more aware of the environment and the importance of conserving it for future generations.

Oak Lodge Residential Service, is also a registered FETAC provider, and can offer 6-12 week modules in several Level 3 recognised FETAC awards.

 

Leisure, Social and educational programmes include;

  • Leisure/recreational activities;Orienteering, quad biking, go carting; archery, night walking; backwoods cooking; building shelters, rock climbing, in door and out, mountain biking, gorge walking kayaking, surfing, swimming snorkling and sctrambling in the mountains.
  • Social Activities; Cinema, local concerts & festival, eating out, bowling, ice skating and visits to local cultural and historical sites.
  • Educational activities; adventure sports, ecology, environmental studies, level 3 FETAC awards in; art and design, computer literacy, food and cookery, horticulture, kayaking, out door pursuits, personal and interpersonal skills, preperation for work, pupperty and water safety.
