At Oak Lodge Residential Services Our aim is to provide a high quality standard of care that is responsive to the individual needs of young people, within a child-centred, supportive and safe open environment. Oak Lodge recognises the importance of working collaboratively and values each person’s role in the life of the child. Working as a team we can support children and young people to overcome the difficulties they may be experiencing in their lives and thus provide them with the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential. We offer an individualised programme of care that aims to assist young people in developing physically, socially, morally, emotionally, cognitively and educationally.

Through the medium of therapeutic relationships we aim to meet a number of young people’s needs, primarily the need to feel cared for, safe, supported and respected. We provide young people with the opportunity to develop relationships with caring adults who will model appropriate ways of dealing with emotions and life’s challenges.

We operate a key-worker system which ensures that each young person has an advocate and mentor who will also keep a focus on and co-ordinate their plans and care needs.
